Haim Kehat – Architect and Urban Planner
Born : 1944, Budapest.
Academic degree : 1969-75 Authorized for Architecture and Urban
planning, Haifa Technion.
Graduated in excellence.
Academic appointing : Accompanying instructor – The department of
Architecture, Haifa Technion.
Professional experience : 1967-1974 Fulltime work in the architecture
firms of: Haim Hefez, Shmuel Bartov, Amnon
Gelfman, Jo Goldberg.
1976 worked for professor Kamrer + Baled in Shtuttgart.
1980 Made partner at A. Mansfeld,M. Mansfekd, H. Kehat,
Y. Mansfeld Architects.
1985 worked in collaboration with pro. Yurgen Bo,
Copenhagen, planning the Entrance Pavilion and the
20th century Art Pavilion.
2000 Partner at Mansfeld – Kehat Architects.
Teaching experience : 1975-1990 Taught and Architecture and Urban
planning courses at the Architecture and Urban
planning faculty, Haifa Technion.
Prizes : 1972 The Haim Yihil award – for exceptionalurban planning
projects. (together with G. Goor, a member of junior
year)
1973 The Braverman award – for planning of a residential,
business and recreational quarter on a desiccated
area in the sea of Haifa.
1974 The Braverman award – a project for emergency
residencial housing submitted to the V.I.A. (Final thesis
project, in callaberation with L. Zedenbaum, M. Zoor
and G.Goor).
1992 First prize in closed competition for the Yitzhak Rabin,
faculty of social sciences, Haifa University.
1995 First prize in closed competition for "Yavne"
Highschool and Talmudic highschool, Ramat alon,
Haifa.
1999 The cities of Haifa, efrayim Lifshitz Award, for the
design and planning of the social Sciences Building in
Haifa University.
2004 First prize in closed competition for the Student Union
Building, Haifa Technion.
